Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, and Shanti Vana, the cremation site of Jawaharlal Nehru. Also, visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, and drive past the Red Fort and the Chandni Chowk market. Day 10: Explore Khajuraho
Today, explore the fascinating temples of Khajuraho, which are famous for their exquisite carvings and sculptures. The temples were built between the 9th and 11th centuries by the Chandela dynasty and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Some of the must-see temples include the Kandariya Mahadev Temple, the Lakshmana Temple, and the Chausath Yogini Temple. The Kandariya Mahadev Temple is the largest and most ornate temple in Khajuraho, with intricate carvings depicting gods, goddesses, and mythical creatures. The Lakshmana Temple is another impressive temple, with a beautifully carved entrance and exquisite sculptures.
